Lacock Eco Group is formed of members of the village and congregation interested in caring for our environment and local wildlife. The aim of the group is to help preserve, promote and protect our natural heritage.
In pursuit of these goals, we engage in activities and projects such as: species specific conservation efforts, creating and maintaining habitats, guided wildlife walks & talks, local litter picking, awareness projects, and wildflower and tree propagation!
The Eco Group is open to everyone and we’d love to have you onboard!
If you’d like to get involved please feel free to get in touch by emailing info@lacockchurches.org.uk
Lacock FairTrade
We are proud that St Cyriac’s & St. Anne’s both have official Fairtrade Church certification! They are part of a growing community of places of worship that are key supporters in the fight for fairer terms of trade. As part of the Fairtrade movement we are supporting small-scale farmers and workers who are marginalised from trade in a variety of ways.
[it would be great to have somewhere to include the latest fairtrade news when applicable]
A Bit About Fairtrade.
Fairtrade is a certification that aims to ensure a set of standards are met in the production and supply of a product or ingredient. For farmers and workers, Fairtrade means safer working conditions and fairer pay. For shoppers it means high quality and ethically produced products.
Choosing Fairtrade means standing with farmers for fairness and equality, against some of the biggest challenges the world faces today. It means farmers creating change, from investing in climate friendly farming techniques, to developing women in leadership.
